RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army has taken former DIRECTOR General inter-services intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed into military custody and initiated court martial proceedings against him.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, a detailed investigation was conducted by the Pakistan Army to resolve the complaints against Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed in the Top City case. After the investigation, appropriate disciplinary action has been initiated against Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed under the Pakistan Army Act.
According to the ISPR, General (retd) Faiz violated the Pakistan Army Act on several occasions after retirement, the field general court martial process has been started in this regard and Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed has been taken into military custody.
