According to the World News Agency, the statement released by the Ministry of Interior of Serbia said that the person who was killed was the landlord and close associate of the attacker who attacked the Israeli embassy in June.
When a police party arrived to arrest him, he opened fire and refused to surrender, which was returned fire by officers from a special anti-terrorist unit, Serbia's interior minister said.
The interior minister further said that the accused was sentenced to 13 and a half years in 2007 for terrorism offenses and was sent to jail along with 14 accomplices.
It should be remembered that on June 29, a person attacked the Israeli Embassy in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, with an arrow, in which a police officer was injured while the attacker was also killed.

After this attack, in two other such incidents, police thwarted attacks on Israeli embassies and detained the attackers and recovered bows and arrows.
