According to the World News Agency, the Israeli army has confirmed that one of its soldiers was killed in a Hezbollah drone strike, identified as 45-year-old Chief Warrant Officer Mahmoud Amaria.
The statement issued by the Israeli army stated that the slain Israeli soldier belonged to the Abton area and was posted in the 300th "Baram" regional brigade.
The statement further stated that Hezbollah launched 5 explosive-laden drones from Lebanon towards Israel, of which 3 were disabled in the air by the Iron Dome air defense system.
The statement of the Israeli army said that one of the two drones that fell on Israeli soil fell on a military camp, killing one soldier and injuring several others.
The condition of one of the injured officers is said to be critical. The death toll is expected to increase.
